The Maguc Bed
Once upon a time, in a cozy bedroom filled with the soft glow of a nightlight, lived a little girl named Charlotte. Every single night, Charlotte tucked herself into bed with her very best friend in the whole world, a soft, well-loved stuffed bunny named Bella. Bella had long, floppy ears that were perfect for whispering secrets into, and tonight, Charlotte had a very big secret to share. She snuggled close to her fluffy friend and whispered that tonight was the night for a grand adventure.
Their bed was no ordinary piece of furniture; it was a beautiful, snow-white bed with posts that looked like twisted sugar. As the clock struck midnight, the white bed gave a gentle shudder and began to lift right off the bedroom floor. Charlotte squeezed Bella tight against her chest as the magical bed glided silently through the open window, sailing up into the cool, starry night sky. The wind whipped softly around them, but the blankets stayed perfectly warm as they soared high above the sleeping houses and the shimmering clouds.
Before long, the glittering lights of a magnificent city appeared on the horizon, twinkling like thousands of tiny diamonds. The flying white bed angled downward, cruising gracefully over a grand river and swooping right past a giant, glowing tower made of iron lattice. Charlotte pointed in delight, holding Bella’s paw so the little bunny could see the beautiful sights of Paris spread out beneath them. They floated over quiet cobblestone streets, past dark little cafes, and right over the rooftops of grand palaces, taking in the magic of the city of light.
After circling the beautiful tower one last time, the magical white bed turned back toward the open sky to begin the long journey home. It cruised smoothly through the darkness, carrying the tired travelers safely across the wide world and right back through Charlotte's bedroom window. The bed touched down on the carpet without making a single sound, settling back into its usual spot just as the first hints of dawn appeared. Charlotte yawned, tucking the blankets up to Bella's chin, perfectly happy and ready to dream about their next midnight flight.
